Job summary

Private Advertiser is seeking a senior ESG leader to drive the company’s sustainability agenda and embed ESG into operations across the Group. You will engage with senior leaders and external stakeholders to set goals, measure progress, and promote a culture of sustainability.

The role requires a track record in developing and implementing ESG strategies, strong reporting capabilities, and leadership to coordinate multiple ESG programs and initiatives across the organization.

Job description

Drive and oversee the development and implementation of the company’s ESG strategy, including new initiatives to enhance organizational sustainability and the management of existing ESG programs.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and oversee the company’s ESG strategy, initiatives, and programs to embed sustainability within the Group’s operations and continue to build a culture of sustainability awareness within the organisation, engaging with key leaders of the organisation and external stakeholders to drive ESG awareness, set goals and measure progress.

Collaborate with management, employees, customers, and shareholders to address the groups ESG risks and promote ESG opportunities and develop and implement new ESG initiatives while managing and enhancing existing programs.

Review and evaluate company policies, practices, and processes to identify opportunities for improving ESG standards and automating sustainability data gathering and reporting.

Identify innovative solutions that balance business objectives with environmental stewardship and promoting the UN Sustainable Development Goals, including developing a sustainable supply chain.

Develop and implement strategies to address climate and transition risks, including energy efficiency, resource conservation, pollution reduction, waste management and other environmental initiatives across the organisation and communicate these across the organisation.

Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of ESG programs and recommend improvements where necessary.

Stay informed of emerging sustainability trends, emerging regulatory requirements and industry and market best practices, and recommend actions to ensure compliance and continuous enhancement.

Prepare reports, presentations, and proposals, and present recommendations to Senior Management, the Board of Directors, and other key stakeholders on ESG-related matters.

Prepare, review, and oversee the company’s sustainability and/or integrated annual reports and other disclosures, and a working knowledge of the latest ESG disclosure standards and requirements, including and not limited to carbon emissions reporting, quantifying physical climate risks and transition risks, IFRS S1 and S2, SBTi, CDP and carbon pricing.

Lead efforts to obtain, maintain, and renew relevant sustainability certifications, ratings, and accreditations.

Job Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Business Administration, Engineering, or related fields.Certifications in ESG, Sustainability Reporting, or Environmental Management are an added advantage.

12 to 15 years experience in sustainability management, environmental programs, or ESG advisory roles, preferably within a public listed company.

Strong up-to-date knowledge of ESG practices, and applicable laws and regulations.

Relevant experience in environmental or sustainability-related fields, such as ecology, environmental management, or other related areas.

Proven track record in developing and implementing ESG strategies and initiatives.

Excellent oral and written communication skills, through annual reports and sustainability write-ups.

Good exposure to annual report preparation and ESG reporting.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Experience with data management systems and ESG reporting tools.

Good leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
