Job summary

BoostDigital Bank is seeking a Head of Platform Engineering to drive digital transformation, manage technology infrastructure, ensure regulatory compliance, and promote collaboration across teams. You will lead a team building scalable digital platforms for mobile and online banking and data analytics.

Responsibilities include delivering secure, compliant platforms, engaging with stakeholders, and staying abreast of emerging technologies to optimize performance and reliability.

Qualifications

Head of Platform Engineering inBoostDigital Bank revolves around driving digital transformation, managing technology infrastructure, ensuring regulatory compliance and security, promoting collaboration and integration, focusing on performance and scalability, and embracing innovation and emerging technologies.

You play a critical role in driving the digital transformation of the bank, ensuring the development and maintenance of robust and secure technology platforms, and collaborating with stakeholders to deliver innovative and seamless digital banking experiences to customers.

Key responsibilities:

Develop and execute a comprehensive platform engineering strategy aligned with theBoostBank's overall digital banking strategy.Identifyopportunities for innovation, improvement, and optimization of existing technology platforms.

Lead a team of engineers and developers in designing, building, and enhancing the bank's digital platforms, including mobile banking applications, online banking portals, payment systems, data analytics platforms, and other digital channels.

Collaborate with otherstakeholderwithin theTech / Bank, such as productengineering, productmanagement, operations,informationsecurity, and compliance, to define platform requirements, prioritize projects, and ensure seamless integration with other systems and processes.

Engage with internal and external stakeholders, including executives, business partners, vendors, and technology providers.

Provide technicalexpertiseand guidance to the engineering team. Stay updated with emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in digital banking. Ensure that the bank's platforms are built using scalable, secure, and reliable technologies.

To keep pace with the rapidly evolving digital landscape, digital banks often adopt agile development methodologies and DevOps practices.

Implement and enforce security protocols, data protection measures, and compliance standards to ensure the bank's platforms meet regulatory requirements and mitigate cybersecurity risks. Work closely with the bank's security team toidentifyand address vulnerabilities and implementappropriate securitycontrols.

Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to assess the performance and stability of the bank's platforms.Establish monitoring systems and processes to proactively identify and resolve issues, ensuring high availability and optimal user experience.Optimizeplatform performance, scalability, and resourceutilization.

Evaluate, select, and manage technology vendors and external partners. Collaborate with them toleveragetheirexpertiseand integrate their solutions into the bank's platform ecosystem.

Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of platform engineering projects. Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet quality standards. Manage project resources, timelines, and dependencies effectively

Job Requirements & Criteria:

A bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, software engineering, information technology, or a related field is typicallyrequired. Relevant certifications in platform engineering, software development, or project management areadvantageous. Several years of experience in platform engineering, software development, or related roles, with progressive leadership responsibilities.

In-depth knowledge and experience in platform engineering, software development, and infrastructure design.Proficiencyin programming languages, software architecture, cloud computing, database management, and cybersecurity. Familiarity with emerging technologies and trends in digital banking

Demonstrated experience in leading and managing a team of engineers, preferably in the banking or financial services industry. Proven ability to set strategic direction, prioritize projects, and deliver results within budget and timeline. Strong decision-making, problem-solving, and project management skills.

Understanding ofthe digital banking landscape, including knowledge of various banking products and services, customer experience expectations, and industry regulations. Experience in driving digital transformation initiatives and implementing innovative digital solutions

Ability to develop and execute a platform engineering strategy aligned with the bank's overall digital bankingobjectives. Understanding of market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape to drive platform innovation and enhance the bank's digital offerings

Familiarity with regulatory requirements and security best practices in the banking industry. Experience in implementing and enforcing security controls, data protection measures, and compliance standards. Knowledge of risk management frameworks and ability to mitigate cybersecurity risks
