Job summary

Thousands of Years Media Sdn. Bhd. in Malaysia seeks a Head of Monetization & Business Development to lead revenue growth across subscriptions, in-app purchases, advertising, sponsorships, and corporate partnerships.

You will coordinate with Sales, Marketing, Content, Creative, Production, Technology, and Operations to package company assets into sellable opportunities and drive ROI through strategic monetization initiatives.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6–8 years in business development, monetization, or related fields.
• Proven experience in revenue generation, brand partnerships and sponsorships.
• Experience in media, digital content, advertising, or platform revenue is an advantage.
• Strong understanding of monetization models including subscriptions and ads.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and lead monetization and business development strategy across revenue streams.
• Plan and optimize revenue models including subscriptions, in-app purchases, and ads.
• Identify commercial opportunities across projects, platforms, and divisions.
• Create advertising products and sponsorship packages for brands and agencies.
• Build relationships with brands, agencies, advertisers, and corporate clients.
• Prepare proposals, rate cards, decks, and client presentations.
• Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Content, Creative, Production, Technology, and Ops.
• Identify regional partnerships and new commercial models to increase revenue.
• Lead negotiations, close partnerships, and manage follow-ups.
• Track pipeline, revenue performance, ROI, and monetization results.
• Prepare revenue reports and business development analyses for management.
