Job summary

CIMB in Malaysia seeks an experienced Application Engineering Lead – Digital Wealth to drive solutioning, design, and delivery of critical wealth platforms. You will lead engineering teams, ensure scalable, secure, cloud-native solutions, and partner with Business, Product, and Architecture to meet regulatory and operational standards.

The role demands 12–15 years in software engineering with 5–8 years in technical leadership, and a proven track record in banking/financial services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 12–15 years of experience in software engineering and development.
• 5–8 years of experience in technical leadership roles.
• Strong experience in application development, system integration, and delivery in banking or financial services.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end accountability for assigned applications/systems.
• Act as Application Lead/Technical Lead ensuring requirements align with standards.
• Lead and manage development teams across multiple delivery streams.
• Ensure clear ownership for delivery and production stability.
