Job summary

Hong Leong Bank invites an experienced operations leader to oversee the Centralized Operations team in Malaysia. The role covers end-to-end remittance processing, AML screening, e-KYC review, and corporate internet banking onboarding, ensuring compliance and efficient service delivery across HL ConnectFirst, HL ConnectBiz, and HL ConnectPro.

The candidate will drive process simplification, automation initiatives, and cost stewardship while maintaining strict regulatory compliance and risk

Qualifications

Bachelor degree with minimum 10 years of experience in operations.
Minimum of 8 years’ operations experience in branches covering all aspects of branch operations.
Minimum of 10 years’ experience in branch operations at HO managerial level.
Good analytical and problem solving skills.
Practical and hands on in managing the ground staff in branches.
Credit operations knowledge would be advantageous as branch operations involve credit operational matters.

Responsibilities

Oversee end-to-end processing of outward and inward remittances with AML screening and FX compliance.
Lead manual review of low e-IDV score applications to verify authenticity.
Facilitate corporate access to internet banking by managing entity applications and profile creation.
Govern timely reporting of regulatory Cash Balance of Payment to Bank Negara Malaysia.
Drive automation and process simplification to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
Lead and develop the Centralized Operations team, promoting continuous learning and capability building.
