Job summary

Talent Recruit is representing a well-established Halal & HACCP pastry and bakery manufacturer, seeking a Chief Baker to lead bread production at their Puncak Alam facility as part of expansion plans.

The Chief Baker will oversee recipe development, ingredient management, equipment maintenance, production planning, quality control, team leadership, and continuous improvement to deliver high-quality bread products.

Qualifications

• Certification in baking or pastry arts.
• Proven experience as baker or chief baker in large-scale production.
• Knowledge of bread production techniques, ingredients and equipment.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Detail-oriented with focus on quality, consistency, and efficiency.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving and decision-making.
• Able to work independently and in fast-paced environment.
• Flexibility to work shifts including evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of bread production from dough to bake.
• Develop and document recipes for artisanal and gluten-free breads.
• Manage ingredient sourcing and inventory for bread production.
• Operate and maintain bread production equipment.
• Develop production schedules and optimize capacity.
• Monitor quality and food safety compliance.
• Provide leadership and training to bakery staff.
• Drive continuous improvement in productivity and profitability.
• Ensure sanitation and safety compliance.
• Build talent and mentor bakery team.
