Job summary

Centific is seeking a hands-on Hardware Test Engineer to join our Penang lab, focusing on functional, performance and reliability testing for VR hardware systems. You will manage the testing lab daily, track materials in spreadsheets, and communicate testing status with management in real time.

The role requires meticulous documentation, confidentiality about unreleased products, and hands-on operation of testing equipment, with basic Python and ADB command usage to support daily activities.

About Job

• Execute functional, performance, and reliability test cases, applying fundamental testing theories to real-world VR hardware systems.
• Assist in the daily management of the hardware testing lab, tracking testing materials and instruments using spreadsheets. Comfortable spending a significant amount of time working hands-on in the lab.
• Communicate proactively with direct management, providing real-time updates on testing status, project changes, and daily progress.
• Demonstrate a friendly, approachable, and team-oriented personality, fostering a positive working environment when interacting with colleagues and visiting leaders.
• Maintain the highest level of confidentiality regarding unreleased products, strictly refraining from discussing work topics outside of the project team.
• Identify hardware and system-level bugs, capture detailed logs, and utilize Jira for rigorous defect tracking and verification of fixes.
• Operate hardware testing equipment (such as current probes and thermal measurement tools) and utilize basic Python and ADB commands to support daily testing.
