Job summary

Centific Global Solutions (M) Sdn Bhd in Penang is seeking a hands-on Hardware Test Engineer to execute tests on VR hardware systems, manage the testing lab, and collaborate with the team to ensure quality.

You will capture logs, track defects in Jira, and use Python and ADB commands to support daily testing while maintaining confidentiality of unreleased products.

About Job

• Execute functional, performance, and reliability test cases, applying fundamental testing theories to real-world VR hardware systems.
• Assist in the daily management of the hardware testing lab, tracking testing materials and instruments using spreadsheets. Comfortable spending a significant amount of time working hands-on in the lab.
• Communicate proactively with direct management, providing real-time updates on testing status, project changes, and daily progress.
• Demonstrate a friendly, approachable, and team-oriented personality, fostering a positive working environment when interacting with colleagues and visiting leaders.
• Maintain the highest level of confidentiality regarding unreleased products, strictly refraining from discussing work topics outside of the project team.
• Identify hardware and system-level bugs, capture detailed logs, and utilize Jira for rigorous defect tracking and verification of fixes.
• Operate hardware testing equipment (such as current probes and thermal measurement tools) and utilize basic Python and ADB commands to support daily testing.
