Jora Malaysia is seeking an experienced hardware design engineer with a strong background in GPON/XGS-PON optical products to join our team in Kuala Lumpur.
You will design, test, and verify high-speed circuits and optical modules, collaborate with chip vendors, ensure compliance with EMC/Safety standards, and contribute to production qualification and documentation. Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential, with Mandarin being an added advantage.

Bachelor's Degree with 6+ yearsor Master's Degree with5+ years in Electrical Engineering or related field.
Minimum 5 years of hardware design experienceinGPON/XGS-PON optical products.
Strong knowledge of optical module development and production processes.
Familiar with PON and optical module standards.
Experience in high-speed circuit design and test equipment.
Hands-on experience with BOB (BOSA on Board) design, calibration, validation, and factory testing.
Proficient in using DCA, BERT, and eye-diagram measurement and analysis.
Knowledge of EMC/Safety qualification standards.
Experience with 2.5G and 10G optical products; 25G experience is an advantage.
Familiar with EDA tools and Microsoft Office.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
English is the primary working language; Mandarin is an added advantage.

Perform optical module testing, verification, and generate technical reports.
Define testing strategies across different hardware platforms.
Work closely with chip vendors on optical specifications and standards.
Select and evaluate electronic components for reliability and performance.
Maintain hardware design and product documentation.
Collaborate with software, application, and hardware engineering teams.
Conduct failure analysis and recommend design improvements.
Support production line testing, validation, and factory audits.
