Job summary

Capcon Consulting in Kuala Lumpur is seeking an Optical Hardware Engineer to take charge of custom R&D and hardware design for global fiber networks (GPON/XGS-PON). You will work with optical transceivers, perform validation, and contribute to a hybrid work setup with three days in the office.

The role involves owning BOSA-on-Board hardware design, writing verification plans and validation reports, partnering with silicon vendors, and conducting deep failure analysis on high-speed optical

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of hardware experience with GPON, XGS-PON, or optical transceivers.
• Direct experience with 2.5Gbps and 10Gbps optical layouts (25Gbps preferred).
• Mastery of optical lab equipment including DCA, BERT, and eye-diagram tools.

Responsibilities

• Own BOSA-on-Board (BOB) hardware design, validation, and calibration.
• Author master verification plans and official optical validation compliance reports.
• Partner with global component chip vendors to align technical packaging details.
• Execute deep-dive failure analysis on optical and high-speed electronic circuits.
