Job summary

WSG Properties Sdn Bhd is seeking a Handyman to join our factory team. You will carry out general repair, maintenance and upkeep of the factory premises and facilities, and perform basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting and mechanical repair work.

You will conduct regular inspections, attend to breakdowns, assist with troubleshooting, and ensure tools and equipment are safely stored. The role requires independence, reliability and a proactive maintenance mindset in a factory setting.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, mechanical and general repair work.
• Able to use basic hand and power tools safely.
• Responsible, hardworking and able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Carry out general repair, maintenance and upkeep of the factory premises and facilities.
• Perform basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting and mechanical repair works.
• Conduct regular inspection and routine maintenance of factory facilities, equipment and machinery.
• Attend to breakdowns, repair requests and maintenance issues promptly.
• Assist in troubleshooting and identifying the cause of maintenance problems.
• Maintain and repair doors, locks, lights, water supply, drainage and other building facilities.
• Assist with installation, relocation and minor modification of equipment or facilities when required.
• Ensure tools and maintenance equipment are properly maintained and safely stored.
• Keep the work area clean, safe and organized after completing maintenance work.
• Report major defects, equipment breakdowns or maintenance issues to the supervisor
• Assist with preventive maintenance activities to minimize equipment downtime
• Perform other general maintenance duties and tasks assigned by the supervisor or management

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Handyman, Technician or in a similar position is an advantage
• Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, mechanical and general repair work
• Able to use basic hand and power tools safely
• Responsible, hardworking and able to work independently
• Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Able to work in a factory environment
• Good attendance and positive working attitude
