Job summary

Allied Group Property Services in Penang is seeking a reliable Handyman with 1–2 years of property maintenance experience to join the team. The role covers electrical, plumbing, painting, and CCTV tasks, with emphasis on proactive issue detection.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–2 years of hands-on property maintenance experience.
• SPM or equivalent qualification is required.
• Proficient in electrical wiring tasks and basic troubleshooting.
• Skilled in plumbing, leaks, drains, and fixtures.
• Experience in painting with surface prep and finishing.
• Familiarity with CCTV installation/maintenance is a plus.
• Able to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Good English and Bahasa Malaysia communication.
• Physically fit for manual labor, ladders, and lifting.
• Proactive in identifying maintenance issues.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repair tasks on properties, including electrical wiring, plumbing, and general upkeep.
• Conduct regular inspections to identify issues and ensure safety standards.
• Execute painting and finishing work for interior and exterior surfaces.
• Install, maintain, and troubleshoot CCTV systems.
• Respond to maintenance requests and emergency calls promptly.
• Collaborate with maintenance staff and external contractors as needed.
• Maintain inventory of tools, equipment, and materials.

Possession of a Secondary School Certificate (SPM) or equivalent qualification is required.

Skilled in plumbing works, such as fixing leaks, unblocking drains, and installing/repairing fixtures.

• Collaborate with other maintenance staff and external contractors as needed to complete larger repair or renovation projects.
• Maintain an inventory of tools, equipment, and materials, ensuring they are in good working condition and readily available for use.
