Job summary

Colgate-Palmolive Malaysia is seeking an Operation Technician to keep our finishing and packaging lines moving. You will operate heavy machinery, perform equipment adjustments, and ensure products meet high-quality standards on the shop floor.

You are a hands-on team player who values safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement, and you will participate in AM activities, run QA checks, and maintain accurate production records.

Qualifications

• Completed at least SPM or SPVM.
• Minimum of 3 years of working experience in similar manufacturing or industrial environments.
• Ability to perform simple calculations accurately.
• Ability to speak and write clearly in either Bahasa Malaysia or English.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate processing, packaging, auxiliary, and material handling equipment.
• Perform basic machine adjustments and troubleshoot equipment issues on the line.
• Execute fast and safe machine changeover activities between different product runs.
• Participate actively in team meetings and Autonomous Maintenance (AM) activities to keep machines running efficiently.
• Perform on-line quality checks at regular intervals to ensure products meet standards.
• Take immediate corrective action if quality issues arise, and handle the rework of materials when necessary.
• Actively work to minimize material wastage during the production process.
• Strictly follow all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and workplace safety rules.
• Keep your workstation and the area around it clean and tidy during work hours.
• Keep complete and accurate daily production records and documentation.
