Job summary

GFB Hongli Sdn Bhd is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead the leaf spring plant, drive safety, efficiency, and cost control, and ensure adherence to ISO/TS 16949 and customer specifications. The role involves hands-on leadership on the factory floor, with responsibility for manufacturing, maintenance, quality, and continuous improvement.

Strong leadership and cross‑functional collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
8–10 years manufacturing experience with 3–5 years in leadership role.
Experience in automotive components or heavy vehicle manufacturing preferred.
Hands-on management of operations on the factory floor.
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and Kaizen methodologies.
Mandarin proficiency is an added advantage for JV coordination.

Responsibilities

Lead overall manufacturing and production operations to meet targets for production, quality, delivery, safety, productivity, and costs.
Oversee leaf spring production processes including heating, forming, heat treatment, assembly, and finishing.
Ensure maintenance programs minimize downtime and improve machine reliability.
Ensure ISO/TS 16949 compliance and adherence to customer specs and regulatory standards.
Develop production plans, manpower, capacity, schedules, and material flow.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives and cost-reduction projects.
