Job summary

Safepeak Technology in Malaysia seeks a Plant Manager Assistant/Operations Assistant to lead day-to-day plant operations, manage scheduling, OEE, and safety, and coordinate with departments to meet targets. The role supports ramp-up, recruitment, training, and cross-functional problem solving on the shop floor.

The candidate will liaise with automotive customers, handle orders and logistics, and drive KPI performance for on-time delivery and quality in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Diploma in Mechanical/Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent.
• 5–8 years of experience in a manufacturing plant; at least 2 years in a supervisory/shift leadership role.
• Fluent in Bahasa Malaysia, English and Mandarin (written and spoken).
• Malaysian citizen based in Selangor; willing to relocate to Klang/Shah Alam/Subang area.
• Experience with ISO / IATF 16949 is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily plant operations: production scheduling, line balance, output control, OEE, safety, 5S and housekeeping.
• Coordinate with production, quality, warehouse, maintenance and HR to meet delivery, cost and quality targets.
• Build and enforce SOPs, shift handover, attendance, discipline and on-site problem-solving with line supervisors and operators.
• Support plant ramp-up: recruitment coordination, training of local operators, trial-run management and commissioning follow-up.
• Act as the primary interface with automotive customers: order confirmation, delivery follow-up, complaint handling and on-time shipment coordination.
• Drive customer service KPIs: on-time delivery (OTD), shipment accuracy, response time and customer satisfaction.
• Liaise with logistics, customs, warehousing and third-party service providers to ensure smooth inbound/outbound flow.
