Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a Halal Certification and QA/QC professional to manage Halal certification matters, audits, and regulatory compliance. The role requires a Diploma/Degree or higher in Food Technology, Food Science, or related fields, and at least 3 years in Halal certification.

You will coordinate internal and external audits (FSSC 22000, HACCP, MESTI), maintain documentation, train staff, and support continuous improvement while ensuring halal standards and food safety.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree or higher in Food Technology, Food Science, Halal Industry, Biology, or related fields.

Responsibilities

• Manage all Halal certification matters, including new applications, renewals, amendments, and correspondence with relevant authorities.
• Prepare, maintain, and update all Halal documentation and records to ensure compliance with Halal certification requirements.
• Coordinate and participate in internal and external Halal audits, ensuring timely closure of any non-conformities.
• Prepare documentation and coordinate internal and external audits for FSSC 22000, HACCP, and MESTI certification.
• Assist in the implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of FSSC 22000, HACCP, and MESTI management systems.
• Oversee the daily operations of the QA/QC Department to ensure product quality, good hygiene practices, and food safety standards are consistently maintained.
• Guide the production team on quality control issues to enhance product quality.
• Conduct internal quality and food safety training for employees.
• Perform any other duties assigned by Management.
