Job summary

Seafood Island Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a Halal & Hygiene Executive to manage Halal compliance, food safety and hygiene across operations in Malaysia.

You will maintain Halal certification, coordinate with suppliers, and conduct staff training to ensure adherence to JAKIM and safety standards. The role involves inspections, documentation and follow-ups, with opportunities to contribute to audits and certification renewals.

Qualifications

• Diploma/degree in Halal Management or related food safety field.
• Experience in Halal, food safety or hygiene is an advantage.
• Familiar with Halal certification and food hygiene requirements.
• Fresh graduates with relevant qualifications are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain the company's Halal certification and documentation.
• Ensure ingredients, products, suppliers and processes comply with Halal requirements.
• Monitor food hygiene and cleanliness standards at the restaurant and workplace.
• Conduct regular hygiene inspections and follow up on corrective actions.
• Maintain records related to Halal, hygiene and food safety.
• Assist with Halal audits, inspections and certification renewals.
• Coordinate with suppliers and relevant departments on Halal and hygiene matters.
• Conduct staff briefings/training on Halal and hygiene requirements.
• Ensure compliance with relevant JAKIM and food safety requirements.
• Prepare reports and documentation when required.
