Job summary

KPJ Penang Specialist Hospital seeks a dedicated Registered Nurse with Malaysia license to provide comprehensive dialysis nursing care, participate in rounds, and collaborate with doctors and the care team.

You will engage with patients and families, adhere to standards, document progress, and support education initiatives while delivering compassionate, culturally sensitive care in a fast-paced unit.

Qualifications

• Registered with the Nursing Board of Malaysia with a valid license to practice as a Registered Nurse.
• Experience in hemodialysis nursing and direct patient care is preferred.
• Strong communication with patients and care team to ensure quality care.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to nursing care vision and shift duties as assigned by Unit Manager.
• Notify unit manager of changes impacting standards of care.
• Obtain and hand over patient progress reports and follow doctors’ orders.
• Visit patients in the unit with the team to reassess care priorities.
• Provide hemodialysis patient care and manage all dialysis treatment phases.
• Conduct nursing rounds and assist in procedures as needed.
• Execute doctor’s orders and coordinate with the team to ensure patient satisfaction.
• Educate patients and families on health plans and organ donation programs.
• Communicate clearly and compassionately about conditions and treatments.
