Job summary

AmBank Group in Malaysia is seeking a visionary leader to drive the Group’s sustainability agenda, shaping strategy and policies across the business and risk functions. You will spearhead the Net Zero Transition Plan and Sustainable Finance Framework, embedding ESG into financing and decision-making.

The role requires 15+ years in banking or sustainability, with strong stakeholder management and regulatory insight. Master’s degree preferred.

Qualifications

• 15+ years in banking, financial services, sustainability, ESG, risk management, regulatory compliance, or related fields.
• Strong understanding of Sustainable Finance, ESG & Climate Risk, Net Zero & Decarbonization Strategies.
• Proven track record leading cross-functional strategic initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and execution of the Group’s Sustainability Strategy and Roadmap.
• Drive the Net Zero Transition Plan and Sustainable Finance Framework.
• Embed ESG into financing, lending, investment, and decision-making processes.
• Advise on sustainable finance transactions and ESG matters.
• Shape sustainability policies, governance, and standards across the Group.
• Engage regulators and industry partners on sustainability trends and regulations.
• Champion climate risk and responsible lending across the organization.
• Lead research and thought leadership in sustainability analytics.
