Job summary

Malakoff Corporation in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Manager/Sustainability to lead the Group's ESG strategy and drive its transition to a low‑carbon future.

You will oversee sustainability reporting, ensure compliance with Bursa Malaysia, GRI, TCFD and ISSB, and coordinate decarbonisation initiatives, renewable energy projects, and circular economy programs. Strong stakeholder engagement and strategic advisory skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant field.
• Minimum 7 years for Manager, 10+ years for Senior Manager in Sustainability/ESG.
• Strong knowledge of ESG frameworks and sustainability reporting standards.
• Experience in preparing Sustainability Reports and ESG disclosures.
• Familiarity with renewable energy and decarbonisation initiatives is an advantage.
• Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and lead cross-functional initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and monitoring of ESG strategies, policies and initiatives.
• Drive ESG programs across environmental, social and governance pillars.
• Manage sustainability reporting and compliance with frameworks like Bursa Malaysia, GRI, TCFD, ISSB.
• Monitor ESG performance, carbon emissions, climate risks, and targets.
• Support decarbonisation, climate transition, circular economy and renewable energy initiatives.
• Engage regulators, investors, customers and industry bodies on sustainability matters.
• Conduct materiality assessments and identify ESG trends and opportunities.
• Provide strategic advice on sustainability integration and risk management.
• Facilitate awareness programs and strengthen sustainability culture.
