Job summary

Talent Recruit in Malaysia is seeking a Group Finance Manager for a listed manufacturing group to lead consolidation, reporting, budgeting and financial planning. The candidate will manage monthly financial reporting, interact with auditors and regulators, and drive process improvements across the group finance function.

This role requires strong technical accounting skills and leadership within a listed corporate environment.

Qualifications

• ACCA/CPA/MIA certification required.
• Audit firm experience with a listed public company preferred.
• Experience in Group Consolidation mandatory.
• Knowledge of corporate finance and financial modelling is an advantage.
• Analytical and meticulous approach to financial details.

Responsibilities

• Review and manage group accounts, consolidated reporting, budgeting and forecasting.
• Prepare and review monthly management accounts, financial reports, taxation and audits.
• Oversee quarterly interim financial reporting for Bursa disclosures and yearly budgeting.
• Analyse group and divisional performance to support management decisions.
• Coordinate with divisional management for monthly reporting and variance commentary.
• Liaise with external auditors, tax agents and authorities for compliance.
• Improve internal controls and operating procedures across the group.

We are representing our client a well-established and reputable public listed organization with strong presence in the manufacturing and industrial sector, serving both domestic and international markets.

• Reporting to Group Financial Controller

Main Responsibilities

• Review and manage the group accounts function on matters relating to the preparation of condensed consolidated accounts and periodic financial reporting, budgets and financial projection, taxation and audit.
• Responsible for the preparation, analysis, and review of the group financial and management reports as follows:

  Monthly management accounts, financial reports, taxation and departmental operating reports;

  Quarterly interim financial report for the announcement to Bursa

  Yearly audited accounts and

  yearly budgeting and financial projection
• Review and analyse the group and divisional financial performance and support the managements business decision making by providing financial analysis and business insight on the group financial performance
• Liaise with the divisional management to produce monthly reporting reports, providing commentary to senior management on significant variances
• Manage and review the announcements, circulars, submission documents and proposals to ensure compliance with authorities requirement
• Conduct, analyse and implement corporate proposals, corporate finance initiatives and capital raising exercise
• Liaise with external and internal auditor, tax agent and relevant authorities to ensure compliance to the statutory requirements and financial reporting standards
• Review and improve the existing internal control system and departmental operating procedures and processes
• Perform any other duties and responsibilities as when necessary at ad-hoc basis

Requirements

• Possess professional certification i.e. ACCA, CPA or MIA member.
• Prior experience in audit firm with commercial experience in a public listed company; preferably from manufacturing industry.
• Experience in Group Consolidation is a must.
• Knowledge in Corporate Finance and financial modelling is an added advantage.
• Analytical and meticulous for details.
