Job summary

Our client, a public listed property development company in Subang Jaya, Malaysia, seeks an experienced Account & Finance Manager to oversee group consolidation, financial reporting and related matters. You will review accounts for subsidiaries, ensure timely statutory reporting and work with external auditors and tax advisers.

Requirements include a CA/ACCA/CPA/MIA background, 5+ years of relevant experience, and strong Excel/ERP skills. Prior exposure to public listings is preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of accounting/finance experience, with solid exposure to group consolidation and financial reporting.
• Experience in public listed company and Bursa Malaysia reporting is preferred.
• Strong analytical, communication and people management skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee group consolidation and financial reporting for the Group and subsidiaries.
• Review monthly, quarterly and annual accounts of subsidiaries.
• Ensure timely preparation of group financial statements, Bursa and statutory reporting.
• Review intercompany balances and consolidation adjustments.
• Ensure compliance with MFRS, Companies Act and regulatory requirements.
• Liaise with external auditors, tax agents and advisers.
• Monitor financial performance and prepare financial analysis and management reports.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting and cash flow management.
• Strengthen internal controls and accounting policies across the Group.
• Provide guidance to subsidiaries and resolve accounting/reporting issues.
• Supervise, coach and develop finance team.
• Support management on corporate exercises and ad-hoc financial matters.

• Manage and oversee Group consolidation and financial reporting for the Group and its subsidiaries.
• Review monthly, quarterly and annual financial accounts of subsidiaries.
• Ensure timely preparation of Group financial statements, Bursa and statutory reporting.
• Review intercompany balances, transactions and consolidation adjustments.
• Ensure compliance with MFRS, Companies Act and relevant regulatory requirements.
• Liaise with external auditors, tax agents and other professional advisers.
• Monitor financial performance and prepare financial analysis and management reports.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting and cash flow management.
• Strengthen internal controls, accounting policies and finance processes across the Group.
• Provide accounting guidance to subsidiaries and resolve accounting and reporting issues.
• Supervise, coach and develop members of the finance team.
• Support management on corporate exercises, special projects and ad-hoc financial matters.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA, ICAEW, MICPA or equivalent is preferred.
• MIA membership is an advantage.
• At least 5 years of relevant accounting and finance experience, with solid exposure to Group consolidation and financial reporting.
• Property development or construction industry experience is preferred.
• Good knowledge of MFRS, Malaysian statutory reporting requirements and internal controls.
• Experience in a public listed company and/or Bursa Malaysia reporting is strongly preferred.
• Strong analytical, communication and people management skills.
• Able to manage multiple subsidiaries and work effectively within tight reporting deadlines.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and familiar with accounting/ERP systems.
