Sumi-Tech Industrial Supplies Sdn Bhd is seeking an experienced Accountant to support the financial health and operational efficiency of our group. You will maintain accurate financial records, prepare management accounts, and provide insights to guide strategic decisions.
This role requires Chartered Accountant qualification, 7–10 years of progressive accounting experience, and strong leadership for a group‑level function within manufacturing, trading, or equipment rental sectors.
This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in supporting the financial health and operational efficiency of our organisation. As an Accountant, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing management accounts, and providing valuable financial insights to support strategic decision‑making across the business. This role is integral to ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations whilst supporting our growth objectives.
Oversee the full spectrum of financial and management accounting functions for the group.
Lead the preparation of timely monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated financial statements.
Manage group cash flow, budgeting, forecasting, and working capital optimization (especially managing rental fleet depreciation and trading credit risks).
Coordinate with external auditors, tax agents, and bankers to ensure smooth year‑end audits and tax filings.
Ensure absolute compliance with statutory requirements, including the Companies Act, MFRS/IFRS, and local tax regulations (SST/Corporate Tax).
Monitor and ensure adherence to relevant licensing, safety, and environmental regulations inherent to the manufacturing and construction rental sectors.
Develop, implement, and review internal control policies to safeguard group assets.
Establish and maintain a robust enterprise risk management (ERM) framework.
Identify, assess, and mitigate financial and operational risks, particularly regarding credit control for trading clients and asset management for the rental division.
Conduct financial due diligence and risk assessments on new business ventures, capital expenditures, or major procurement contracts.
Professional Qualification: Must be a Chartered Accountant and a registered member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA).
Experience: 7–10 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or group‑level role. (Ideally suited for a mid‑career professional).
Industry Background: Experience in Manufacturing, Trading, or Construction/Equipment Rental sectors is highly advantageous.
Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in group consolidation, tax planning, and ERP systems.
