Job summary

Sports Express is seeking a Graphic Designer with a solid foundation in printing and artwork production. You will create and prepare artwork for printing, assist customers with basic artwork, and ensure files are production-ready.

The ideal candidate has basic to intermediate knowledge of Adobe Illustrator and CorelDRAW, an eye for detail, and the ability to follow instructions and meet deadlines while handling various print jobs.

Qualifications

• Proficient with Illustrator and/or CorelDRAW in print workflows.
• Basic understanding of printing processes and print-ready artwork.
• Ability to edit vector artwork and prepare files for production.
• Good attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with basic artwork adjustments and design requirements.
• Check customer-supplied artwork before printing.
• Prepare print-ready files in Adobe Illustrator or CorelDRAW.
• Perform basic vector editing, image placement, text editing and layout adjustments.
• Ensure correct dimensions, resolution, colour mode, bleed and file setup before production.
• Communicate with the printing/production team regarding artwork requirements.
• Make amendments to artwork based on customer or production requirements.
• Organise and maintain design files and artwork.

We are looking for a Graphic Designer who has a basic understanding of printing and artwork production to join our team. The candidate will be responsible for creating and preparing artwork for printing, assisting with customer artwork, and ensuring files are properly prepared for production.

About you

• Able to follow instructions and meet deadlines
• Willing to learn and handle different types of printing/design work
• Adobe Photoshop knowledge is an advantage
• Experience in a printing shop, advertising/printing company or production environment is an advantage
• Experience handling customer artwork is an advantage
• Knowledge of banners, stickers, T-shirts, signage, promotional materials or other printed products is a plus
