Job summary

Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. in Penang seeks a Signal Integrity Design Engineer to define, model, analyze and verify SI for current and next generation AMD server products. You will lead projects on modeling, verification, and measurements spanning die, package, and board levels.

A successful candidate will have hands-on experience in high-speed design, SI measurement, and collaboration with IC Design, Layout, and Test teams. Strong knowledge of DDR5/PCIe5 and SerDes is essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in electrical or comparable disciplines.
• Experience in signal integrity, high-speed design and verification.
• Knowledge of high-speed interfaces and measurement techniques.

Responsibilities

• Define SI specification, modeling, analysis and verification for current and next-generation AMD servers.
• Lead/participate in projects for modeling, design, verification, and measurements of SI from die to board.
• Collaborate with IC Design, Layout, Packaging, Board, Product Engineer and Test Development teams.
• Develop and document channel optimization, model creation and verification, and overall performance simulations.
• Support IP providers to ensure IPs performance and proper functionality in products.
• Perform system-level simulations for DDR5 memory bus and high-speed SERDES links.
• Coordinate measurement test plans and review results with group leads.
• Translate measurement results into fixes and feedback for future silicon derivations.
• Bring up new generation product methodologies and power delivery network simulations.
