Job summary

Meinhardt Façade Technology (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Graduate Designer to coordinate design works, manage project deliverables and liaise with design teams and stakeholders. You will assist in preparing deliverables and program of works, ensure timely submission of shop drawings, maintain project logs, and support invoicing and reporting at weekly meetings.

Fresh graduates in Architecture or Civil Engineering with strong communication, presentation, and MS Office skills

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing deliverables and program of works.
• Coordinate design works with Design Manager and monitor hours.
• Ensure timely submission of design shop drawings with comments.
• Maintain project logs, RFI's, VO's, and documentation per controls.
• Support invoicing and documentation per billing forecast.
• Attend project meetings and report weekly status.
• Ensure that drawings, addenda and Q&A are kept up to date.

Job description

Graduate Designer role involving coordination of design works, management of project deliverables, and liaison with design teams and stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

Assisting preparing deliverables program of works

Coordinating design works with Design Manager and ensuring that budgeted design hours have not been exceeded

Ensuring that all design shop drawings are submitted on time and commented quickly

Ensuring that all project performance specifications are written and coordinated with engineering prior to issuing

Ensuring that invoicing and supporting documentation for projects are complete every month in accordance with the project billing forecast

Attending project TCM and CCM meetings and reporting status of same every week at project meetings

Ensuring that VO's, Drawing Registers, RFI's and all project related logs and files are kept as per document control rules and procedures

Ensuring that VMU, PMU and field water testing is done on time and reports are generated and submitted on time and with the required invoicing

Ensure that all commented drawings are done on blue beam

Ensure that all tender addendums and Q&A are complete on time and ready for submission

About you

Fresh Graduate Degree in Architecture or Civil Engineering

Excellent written and oral communication skills

Strong presentation skills and ability to deal with developers and architects

Internet savvy and basic knowledge in Microsoft Excel, Word and MS project

Must have strong interpersonal and networking skills

Strong analytical skills and ability to handle complex situations

Strong project organisational skills and ability to run a minimum of five (3-5) projects
