Job summary

Vision Path Sdn Bhd is seeking a GPR Administrator to manage and process Ground Penetrating Radar data supporting subsurface utility mapping and smart city development. You will ensure data integrity, coordinate with field teams, and produce technical outputs for project stakeholders.

The role focuses on organizing data, GIS integration, reporting, and maintaining version-controlled storage, enabling timely delivery of GPR outputs in support of Kuala Lumpur infrastructure initiatives.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Geomatics, Civil Engineering, Geophysics, GIS or related fields.
• Experience with GPR data management and utility mapping is required.
• Experience with GPR software and GIS platforms is required.

Responsibilities

• Administer and manage all GPR survey data, including collection logs, raw scans, and processed outputs.
• Process and interpret GPR data using specialized software such as GSSI RADAN, IDS GeoRadar, Leica DX tools, or IQMAPS.
• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and compliance with organizational standards and project requirements.
• Prepare technical reports, visualizations, and documentation for internal and client use.
• Assist field teams with data upload, synchronization, and troubleshooting.
• Maintain structured data storage and proper version control and file organization.
• Collaborate with surveyors and GIS specialists to validate underground utility data.

Position Overview

The GPR Administrator is responsible for managing, processing, and maintaining Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) data to support subsurface utility mapping, infrastructure planning, and smart city development.
This role involves data organization, GIS integration, reporting, and close coordination with field teams and project stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely delivery of GPR outputs.

Key Responsibilities

a) GPR Data Management

• Administer and manage all GPR survey data, including collection logs, raw scans, and processed outputs.

b) Data Processing & Interpretation

• Process and interpret GPR data using specialized software (e.g., GSSI RADAN, IDS GeoRadar, Leica DX tools, IQMAPS, or equivalent).

c) Data Quality & Compliance

• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and compliance with organizational standards & project requirements.

d) Reporting & Visualization

• Prepare technical reports, visualizations, and documentation for internal and client use.

e) Field Team Support

• Assist field teams with data upload, synchronization, and troubleshooting.

f) Data Storage & Version Control

• Maintain a structured data storage system, including proper version control and file organization.

g) Coordination & Validation

• Work with surveyors and GIS specialists to validate and cross-reference underground utility data.

Qualifications & Requirements

Education

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Geomatics, Civil Engineering, Geophysics, GIS, or related fields.

Experience

• Minimum 2–3 years of experience in GPR data management, utility mapping, or geospatial-related roles.
• Experience with GPR software and GIS platforms is required.

Skills & Competencies

• Proficient in GPR data processing tools (e.g., GSSI RADAN, IDS, or similar).
• Working knowledge of GIS software (ArcGIS, ArcGIS Enterprise, QGIS).
• Understanding of Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE) standards and best practices.
• Familiar with data management systems, databases, and cloud storage solutions.
• Strong analytical, documentation, and technical reporting skills.
• Able to work independently and collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
