Job summary

Shearwater GeoServices in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Project Leader within the Processing & Imaging team. You will lead a team of processing geophysicists, guiding projects from planning through execution with a focus on quality, timeliness, and client satisfaction.

You will collaborate with global P&I teams, software developers, R&D, Sales and IT/HPC to implement best practices and innovative technologies. A strong emphasis on people development and knowledge sharing guides your leadership

Qualifications

• Degree in Geophysics, Physics, or related scientific discipline; strong experience in Time and Depth Imaging.
• Proven ability to lead a geophysics processing team and manage projects from planning through execution.
• Strong client-facing and presentation skills with collaborative mindset.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of processing geophysicists to deliver seismic processing and imaging projects.
• Own assigned projects from planning to execution, ensuring quality, safety, and schedule.

We're looking for a Project Leader to join our Processing and Imaging team in Kuala Lumpur. Candidates must have the legal right to work in Malaysia.

Technically Speaking…

You’ll hold a degree in Geophysics, Physics, or a related scientific discipline, with strong experience in Time and Depth Imaging.

As a Project Leader within the Processing & Imaging (P&I) team, you will lead the successful delivery of seismic processing and imaging projects, ensuring the highest standards of quality, technical excellence, and client satisfaction. You will take ownership of assigned projects from planning through execution, overseeing quality control processes, approving key technical decisions, and ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and on schedule.

You will serve as the primary technical point of contact for clients, leading project reviews and presentations while fostering strong relationships through professional communication and a commitment to excellence. Working closely with global P&I teams, software developers, R&D, Sales, and IT/HPC groups, you will drive collaboration, knowledge sharing, and the implementation of best practices and innovative technologies that enhance project performance and operational efficiency.
