Job summary

Hong Leong Bank, a leading Malaysian financial institution, seeks a regulatory compliance/secretariat professional to support the Group’s governance initiatives. The role focuses on coordinating board-related submissions, preparing agendas and minutes, and assisting with breach reporting and escalation processes.

The successful candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in a related discipline and 1–2 years of regulatory or secretariat experience, with strong communication and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a related discipline.
• 1-2 years of regulatory compliance, risk management, or corporate secretariat experience.
• Solid knowledge of financial regulatory standards and board secretariat practices.
• Proficient written and verbal communication for drafting minutes and reports.
• Strong organizational abilities and high attention to detail with a team-oriented mindset.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and follow-up on reports from departments within the division.
• Consolidate submissions to RCGC, RCGC-i, BRMC, BARM and HK/ HL Financial Group RCGC secretariat and schedule meetings.
• Prepare and distribute agendas, minutes and board papers.
• Review governance breach reporting and escalation processes.
• Track escalations to ensure final reports are presented to senior management and regulators when required.
• Coordinate monthly NIL breach reporting and consolidate breaches from regulators under ORION policy.
• Assist Team Leader with ad-hoc tasks as needed.
