Job summary

BR Metals Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a Chemist to support the establishment and operation of its precious metal recovery facility. The role covers lab setup, equipment commissioning, and full-scale refining of Gold, Silver and related metals.

The ideal candidate will have 2–3 years of hands-on lab experience in the e-waste gold recovery or precious metals refining industry, with strong knowledge of acid-base chemistry and precipitation techniques.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering or a related discipline.
• 2-3 years of hands-on experience in a chemical laboratory, specifically in e-waste gold recovery or precious metals refining.
• Strong knowledge of acid-base chemistry and precipitation techniques.

Responsibilities

• Execute recovery and refining of Gold and Silver using wet chemical treatment, acid digestion and precipitation methods.
• Process and refine materials containing precious metals to maximize yield and achieve high-purity output.
• Operate and maintain recovery and refining machinery used in processing of precious metals.
• Maintain documentation of chemical usage, process parameters and production records for audit and inventory purposes.
• Ensure waste disposal and handling comply with safety and environmental standards.
