Job summary

Sinergia Talents in Malaysia seeks a Refining Chemist/Engineer to establish and operate a precious metal recovery facility, transitioning from lab setup to full-scale refining of Gold and Silver. You will execute recovery and refining using wet chemistry, optimize yields, and ensure safety and documentation across production.

A Bachelor's in Chemistry or related field with 2–3 years in e-waste recovery is required, with English and Bahasa fluency; Mandarin a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or related discipline.
• 2–3 years hands-on lab experience in e-waste gold recovery or precious metal refining.
• Knowledge of acid-base chemistry and precipitation techniques.
• Experience in gold/silver refining processes is preferred.
• Fluent in English and Bahasa; Mandarin is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Execute recovery and refining of gold and silver using wet chemistry methods.
• Process materials to maximize yield and achieve high-purity output.
• Determine best refining methods based on material composition with team input.
• Melting of gold, silver and alloys following safety procedures.
• Operate and maintain refining machinery and equipment.
• Document chemical usage, process parameters and production records.
• Ensure cleanliness and safety compliance in all processing areas.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Laboratory and Office during setup and maintenance.
• Verify quality of incoming materials and recovered products with Lab.
