Job summary

ASIAN BIOSCIENCE CORPORATION SDN BHD in Sri Hartamas, Kuala Lumpur, is seeking a qualified Mining Engineer (Gold) to support planning, development, and operational management of gold mining projects. The role focuses on evaluating opportunities, developing mine plans, and ensuring safe, compliant operations.

The successful candidate will conduct technical assessments, coordinate studies with geologists and consultants, prepare cost estimates, and contribute to feasibility studies.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Mining Engineering or a closely related field.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering or related field.
• Experience in gold mining, mineral exploration, mine planning, or project development.
• Strong understanding of mining engineering principles and mine planning.
• Knowledge of mining operations, mineral processing concepts, and production planning.
• Ability to interpret geological/technical information for mining purposes.
• Strong analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills.
• Good report-writing and documentation skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Willingness to travel and visit sites.

Responsibilities

• Conduct technical assessment and feasibility studies for potential gold mining projects.
• Evaluate geological, topographical, mining, and operational information to support project development.
• Develop preliminary and detailed mine plans, mining schedules, and production plans.
• Recommend mining methods based on deposit characteristics, terrain, depth, orebody geometry and economics.
• Assist in assessing open-pit and/or underground options where applicable.
• Collaborate with geologists and exploration teams to evaluate deposits and resource data.
• Review geological data for mine planning.
• Prepare production estimates, equipment, manpower, and operating cost assessments.
• Assess mining equipment, haulage systems, and other needs.
• Monitor activities and provide recommendations to improve productivity.
• Assist in developing mine development plans, reports, proposals, and feasibility studies.
• Coordinate with external consultants and contractors.
