Job summary

OUS Group of Companies in Malaysia seeks a field-based geologist to support exploration and mining operations. You will interpret geological data, supervise drilling, and contribute to resource evaluation and grade control to optimize ore extraction.

The role emphasizes fieldwork, data analysis, and collaboration with mining engineers and production teams to drive sustainable mining operations and accurate geological mapping.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Applied Geology or Geophysics
• Minimum 3 years of site exploration experience
• Fresh graduates are welcome to apply
• Good mapping skills for interpretation of data to identify orebody and extension
• Proficient in resource modelling & designing of Open pit mine development
• Capable of utilizing latest computer & software technologies such as Microsoft office products, CAD software, and mining programs such as Vulcan, Surpac, MineSite or Datamine

Responsibilities

• Carry out geological related job including grade control drilling, supervising diamond drilling and RC drilling activity for resources.
• Carry out geological mapping and sampling.
• Monitor mining activities to ensure all ores are sent to plant based on geological data.
• Provide geological support to mine operations and process plant operation.
• Compiles and interprets geologic and assay data that will assist in solving grade distribution question (ore-waste boundaries, dilution)
