Job summary

OUS Group is seeking a proactive Geologist to join our field operations in Malaysia. You will supervise grade control drilling (diamond and RC), perform geological mapping, and collect samples to support resource development.

You will monitor mining activities, provide geological support to plant operations, and interpret geologic and assay data to address ore-waste boundaries and dilution. A BS in Applied Geology or Geophysics and at least 3 years on-site experience are required.

Qualifications

BS Degree in Applied Geology or Geophysics or equivalent.
Minimum of 3 years of site experience in exploration (geophysics skills, mapping, and analyzing data).
Good mapping skills for interpretation of data to identify orebody and extension.

Responsibilities

Carry out all geological related job including grade control drilling, supervising diamond drilling and RC drilling activity for resources.
Carry out geological mapping and sampling.
Monitor mining activities to ensure all ores are sent to plant based on geological data.
Provide geological support to mine operations and process plant operation.
Compiles and interprets geologic and assay data that will assist in solving grade distribution question (ore-waste boundaries, dilution).
