Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a General Manager to own end-to-end bakery and café performance. You will manage daily operations, drive strategy, and ensure alignment with overseas Principal and R&D teams while upholding halal standards.

The role requires hands-on leadership, strong commercial acumen, and people management in a halal-certified environment. Travel to oversee outlets and coordinate with international partners is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, Food Science, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in F&B operations with at least 3 years in a General Manager or senior leadership role.
• Proven track record in bakery, café, QSR or retail F&B operations with full P&L ownership.
• Halal-certified operations experience or familiarity with halal standards is highly preferred.
• Experience working with overseas HQs, principals, or R&D across time zones.
• Strong financial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting and cost control.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the overall business strategy across operations, retail, and growth functions.
• Coordinate rollout of new products, recipes, or SOP updates with R&D, ensuring halal compliance.
• Own full P&L accountability and drive profit through cost control and staff management.
• Oversee day-to-day bakery and café operations and maintain SOPs across outlets.
• Plan in-store brand activations and grow corporate catering as a revenue stream.
• Lead cross-functional initiatives and coordinate with overseas principals.
