Businesslist in Kuala Lumpur seeks a Global Trade Compliance & Customs Executive to support import/export documentation, review compliance, and monitor regulatory updates. The role emphasizes process improvement and cross-functional collaboration within a global organization.

Qualifications

• Understanding of customs regulations and trade compliance processes.
• Experience in Customs Operations, Trade Compliance, Import/Export Operations, or related functions.
• SAP or ERP exposure would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Review import/export documentation for accuracy and compliance.
• Ensure transactions and documentation comply with regulations and company policies.
• Support compliance reviews, audits, health checks, and operational assessments.
• Monitor regulatory updates and assist with new compliance requirements.
• Investigate discrepancies and process exceptions; help resolve issues.
• Assist with dashboard preparation, reporting, and data analysis.
• Contribute to process improvement, digitalization, and automation initiatives.
• Support system enhancements, testing, and implementation projects.
• Maintain SOPs and customs-related process documentation.

Responsibilities

• Support customs operations activities including import/export documentation review, validation, and compliance checks
• Ensure customs-related transactions and documentation comply with applicable regulations and company policies
• Support customs compliance reviews, audits, health checks, and operational assessments
• Monitor regulatory updates and assist with implementation of compliance requirements
• Investigate and resolve customs-related discrepancies, documentation issues, and operational exceptions
• Support dashboard preparation, reporting activities, and operational data analysis
• Participate in process improvement, digitalization, and automation initiatives
• Assist with system enhancements, testing activities, and implementation projects
• Maintain SOPs, work instructions, and customs-related process documentation

Qualifications

A successful Global Trade Compliance & Customs Executive should have:

• 1-3 years of experience in Customs Operations, Trade Compliance, Import/Export Operations, Supply Chain Operations, or related functions
• Understanding of customs regulations, import/export documentation, and trade compliance processes
• Experience handling customs, shipping, or trade-related documentation would be advantageous
• Strong analytical, problem–solving, and attention–to–detail skills
• Good stakeholder management and communication abilities
• SAP or ERP system exposure would be an added advantage
