Job summary

Private Advertiser is seeking a Customs Compliance Coordinator to manage declarations and documentation for shipments, ensuring compliance with current regulations and timely submissions.

You will liaise with customers, carriers, and customs authorities, prepare related reports, update stakeholders on changes to rules, and support sales with customs matters and standard operating procedures.

Qualifications

• Ensuring customs declaration to be made in compliance with the regulations.
• Determine the correct documents to produce.
• Prepare and submit the declaration correctly into the right online (or manual) platforms to ensure no hindrance or delays for all shipments, well in advance.
• Providing all the information required by the Customs Authorities: acting as an interface between the company, our customers, and the customs authorities.
• Provide acceptable solution on Customs tariffs for goods to meet Customs requirement as well as to satisfy customer intents, by providing supporting documents and explanation to justify the Customs tariff used.
• Playing a support role in the implementation of new regulations, operating procedures and workflow processes related to Forwarding.
• Providing technical support to the sales staff regarding Customs matters, including participation in joint visits to customers.
• Informing relevant internal and external parties about changes to customs regulations.
• Keep updated on new trade compliance rules, customs requirements, etc.
• Assist in formulating SOPs to ensure proper communication matrix to meet and exceed customer expectations and internal communication.
• Prepare and provide related reports for management review, as required by management.
• Track job progress and coordinate with all related departments to ensure the job completion.
• Maintain good relations with liners, contractors, customers, and agents/partners.
• Carrying out any other request made by the manager/superiors.
• Ensure proper filing of company documents.
• Punctual and meet deadlines as required by management.
