Job summary

Gateway Search Pte Ltd in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Technical Support Engineer to provide on-site technical support, commissioning, and after-sales service for power system and substation automation projects.

The role focuses on hands-on electrical engineering, site commissioning, customer training, and interaction with international projects, with travel within Malaysia and overseas as required. Exposure to protection and control technologies, SCADA, HMIs, and IEDs is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 2 years of experience in site service, commissioning or technical support for electrical power products or systems.
• Good English and Chinese communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide after-sales technical support, troubleshooting and on-site services for customers.
• Support marketing and sales activities from a technical perspective.
• Participate in FATs, technical discussions, and issue resolution.
• Prepare system configurations, site installation, testing, commissioning and troubleshooting.
• Configure and commission substation automation and secondary systems.
• Provide customer training and demonstration systems.
• Prepare technical documentation and service reports.
• Support domestic and international projects.
