Job summary

Vantive in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia seeks a Senior Finance & Statutory Reporting professional to lead statutory filings, tax computations, and balance sheet reconciliations. You will collaborate with local teams and external auditors to ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance.

With 5–7 years in statutory reporting or related fields and a professional qualification, you will drive process improvements, support SOX controls, and mentor junior staff in a multinational setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA, CIMA, ICAEW, or equivalent is preferred.
• Strong understanding of US GAAP, IFRS, and local statutory reporting requirements.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare statutory financial statements in accordance with local regulatory requirements.
• Perform trial balance reviews, account analysis, adjustments, and reclassifications for statutory reporting.
• Ensure timely filing of annual financial statements and statutory reports with relevant authorities.
• Review and validate statutory disclosures, notes to accounts, and cash flow statements.
• Prepare and review journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations in BlackLine.
• Lead audit coordination activities and act as the primary contact for external auditors.
• Prepare and review audit schedules, supporting documents, and audit deliverables.
• Coordinate with external tax advisors and tax agents on direct and indirect tax matters.
• Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities.
• Identify control gaps and recommend process improvements to strengthen compliance and efficiency.
• Partner with local finance teams, controllers, auditors, and tax agents.
