Job summary

Ericsson in Malaysia is seeking a skilled Material Planner for Hardware Support Services to ensure spare parts and service materials are available at the right locations and times to support global operations.

The role focuses on demand and supply planning, maintaining inventory across warehouses, and coordinating transfers to optimize availability while reducing costs. Strong analytical skills and ERP experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Business, or related field.
• 5–15 years of experience in material planning, supply chain, inventory management or related operations (preferably in telecom, electronics or industrial hardware).
• Experience working with ERP and/or service logistics systems (e.g. inventory, purchasing, repair, warehouse management).
• Solid analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends and propose practical actions.

Responsibilities

• Plan and manage spare parts and service material requirements for hardware support contracts and internal service needs.
• Consolidate demand signals from service delivery teams, repair centers, customer support and project forecasts.
• Translate demand into purchase, repair and transfer orders in line with lead times, service levels and inventory targets.
• Monitor supply execution and proactively address shortages, delays or obsolescence risks.
• Coordinate material transfers between satellites/locations to optimize availability and minimize logistics cost.
