Job summary
Cardinal Health in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, seeks an experienced Senior Strategic Sourcing professional to lead glove and rubber category management and oversee a sizable annual purchasing spend.
You will negotiate contracts, build resilient supplier bases, manage risk, and collaborate with cross-functional and global teams to optimize cost, quality, and delivery for exam gloves and related products. Fluent English and Mandarin welcome, with travel ~20%.
Qualifications
- Bachelor Degree in Chemistry; 10+ years in strategic sourcing in a multinational
- Experience in Gloves/ latex/ natural rubber/synthetic rubber industries; physical commodity trading preferred
- Fluent English; Mandarin knowledge a plus; strong MS Office skills
Responsibilities
- Manage annual purchases spend around $100M and optimize cost, quality, and delivery
- Lead strategic sourcing category management for exam gloves and related products
- Negotiate contracts, assess supplier performance, and manage risk in a global supply base
- Collaborate with site purchasing, finance, quality, engineering, planning, and global trade teams
- Provide innovative options to support category strategy and mentor junior staff
