Job summary

Akamai is seeking a Server Tech Services Engineer to diagnose hardware and network issues remotely across APJ, ensuring robust uptime for our edge platform.

You will coordinate server repairs with partners, manage asset returns, and collaborate with hardware engineering to resolve deployment issues while maintaining strong stakeholder relationships. Flexibility to operate outside office hours is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent) in technology or related field or relevant Professional Experience.
• 1+ years of hands-on network and server hardware experience in fault diagnosis.
• Knowledge of server hardware technologies (hard drives, RAM, motherboards, RAID).
• Knowledge of layer 1/2 troubleshooting, OSI model and Unix/Linux CLI.
• Exposure to data center technologies and infrastructure.
• Ability to maintain good relationships with internal/external stakeholders and vendors.
• Demonstrated analytical skills for troubleshooting and issue resolution.
• Able to occasionally work non-office hours.

Responsibilities

• Diagnosing hardware and network issues remotely.
• Facilitating server repairs with ISP and Field Engineers to fix issues.
• Coordinating return of Akamai equipment to warehouse/vendors.
• Working with hardware engineering to resolve post-deployment issues.
• Monitoring hardware failure patterns and reporting to Hardware Engineering and vendors.
• Managing Akamai's hardware assets.
