Job summary

Businesslist in Malaysia is seeking a Customs Data Analytics Specialist to manage customs data, perform in-depth data analysis, and develop KPI dashboards for comprehensive reporting. The role emphasizes data quality, regional/global insights, and collaboration across Customs, Supply Chain, and Digital teams.

You will contribute to automation, reporting standardization, and continuous improvement, with exposure to international trade operations in a hybrid work setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field.
• 5+ years of experience in Customs, Trade Compliance, or Supply Chain analytics.
• Experience with large datasets, reporting, KPI management and business analysis.
• Advanced Excel skills and data interpretation abilities.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
• Knowledge of customs operations or supply chain processes.

Responsibilities

• Manage, validate, and maintain customs-related data for accuracy and reporting integrity.
• Perform data analysis to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities.
• Develop and maintain KPI reporting, scorecards, dashboards, and management reports.
• Support customs and duty-related analysis, including cost-saving initiatives.
• Collaborate with Customs, Supply Chain, Business Units, and Digital teams to improve reporting.
• Prepare analytical insights and business recommendations for regional/global stakeholders.
• Support dashboard enhancements, automation, and reporting standardization.
• Monitor customs performance metrics and support data-driven decision-making.
• Participate in continuous improvement and customs transformation initiatives.

• Prepare analytical insights and business recommendations for regional and global stakeholders
• Support dashboard enhancements, automation initiatives, and reporting standardization efforts
• Monitor customs performance metrics and support data-driven decision-making
• Participate in continuous improvement and customs transformation initiatives

The Successful Applicant

A successful Customs Data Analytics Specialist (Supply Chain) should have:

• Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Business Analytics, Engineering, Data Analytics, Business Administration, or related disciplines
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Customs, Trade Compliance, Supply Chain Analytics, Reporting, Performance Management, or related functions
• Strong experience working with large datasets, reporting, KPI management, and business analysis
• Advanced Excel skills with the ability to manipulate, analyze, and present data effectively
• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and data interpretation capabilities
• Good understanding of customs operations, trade compliance, or supply chain processes
• Experience with Power BI, SAP, SAP GTS, or other reporting tools would be advantageous
