Job summary

Comet Group in Penang is seeking a Buyer to join the Plasma Control Technologies division. You will manage end-to-end purchasing activities, ensuring timely, cost-effective procurement from requisition to payment, and collaborate with Engineering, Planning, Production, Quality, and Operations teams.

With a minimum of 5 years in procurement or supply chain, you will negotiate with suppliers, monitor performance, and drive continuous improvement while complying with policies and legal

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in Operational Purchasing, Procurement, or Supply Chain within a manufacturing or technical environment.
• Strong ERP system experience (SAP preferred) and advanced Excel skills for reporting and data analysis.
• Fluent English with German language as an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end purchasing activities, ensuring timely, cost-effective procurement from requisition to payment.
• Monitor supplier performance, material availability, delivery schedules, and inventory replenishment.
• Partner with Engineering, Planning, Production, Quality, and Operations teams to support NPI and changes.
• Source, onboard, and develop suppliers across Malaysia and Switzerland.
• Drive continuous improvement, maintain procurement master data, and ensure policy compliance.
