Qualifications

• Degree in electrical engineering, automation engineering, mechatronics, computer engineering or a related field.
• Several years of professional PLC programming experience for complex machines or automation.
• Strong ability to grasp new concepts and understanding of electrical engineering.
• Good knowledge of control programming, preferably Siemens.
• Competence in structured software design.
• Experience with virtual commissioning and simulation of machine behavior is an advantage.
• Good knowledge of English, both written and spoken.
• Independent, careful work style and team spirit.
• Willingness to travel worldwide.

Responsibilities

• Develop control software for complex, automated wet processing equipment.
• Set-up and use simulation models for virtual commissioning.
• Maintain and further develop existing software libraries.
• Test equipment software in preparation for commissioning.
• Process customer orders for new equipment and modifications.
• Contribute to concepts for digital twins and simulations.
• Coordinate technically with Mechanical Engineering, Product Management, Production and Service.
• Support commissioning in-house and at customer sites worldwide.
• Commission and ramp up process machinery to High Volume Manufacturing status at customer sites.
• Handover and training of customers operating and workshop staff.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues during start-up to ensure smooth operations.
• Collaborate with customers to implement best practices and improvements.
