Job summary

HMI Medical in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Group Technology Network Manager to design, govern, and manage the organisation's regional and group-wide network infrastructure across multiple countries. You will oversee WAN, LAN, WLAN, firewalls, cloud networking, and inter-site connectivity, ensuring standardization and security alignment with Group IT strategy.

The role requires 5+ years in enterprise networking, strong knowledge of routing, switching, VPNs, BGP/OSPF, SD-WAN, and cloud networking

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
5+ years of hands-on enterprise network engineering experience.
Strong knowledge of switching, routing, VPN, BGP, OSPF, ACLs, and wireless.
Experience with firewalls, routers, switches, wireless controllers, and SD-WAN.
Experience with cloud networking (Azure/AWS) and hybrid connectivity.

Responsibilities

Design and implement group-level network standards, architecture, and security baselines across all entities.
Develop short- and long-term roadmaps for WAN, LAN, WLAN, firewall, SD-WAN, segmentation, cloud networking, and related technologies.
Ensure network strategy aligns with cybersecurity, cloud, and infrastructure modernization initiatives.
Lead group-wide firewall refresh projects and SD-WAN/WAN modernization initiatives.
Provide guidance and technical direction to local network engineers and maintain documentation.
