Job summary

Jabil in Penang, Malaysia seeks a procurement professional focused on global new business quoting. You will execute RFQ-based activities, build a supplier base, and support analysis across the quoting process.

You will develop relationships with Business Unit Management to ensure SCM involvement in opportunities, evaluate quotes, and drive cost optimization while mentoring team members in procurement practices.

Qualifications

• Ability to lead projects and initiatives.
• Ability to work well with teams and mentor procurement processes.
• Advanced PC skills especially in Excel with the ability to provide training and knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Support new business and quoting activities.
• Develop relationships with Business Unit Management to involve SCM in new opportunities.
• Attend quote kick-off meetings and drive quotes based on RFQ requirements.
• Review BOM data and assign correct commodity and manufacturer.
• Prepare quote packages and solicit supplier quotes.
• Maintain knowledge of materials and supply base to meet quality and quantity needs.
• Analyze pricing, lead-times, and terms to minimize total cost ownership.
• Manage and develop the supplier base to support quoting activities.
• Provide updates and reporting on quotation activities.
