Job summary

Jabil Circuit Sdn Bhd in Penang is seeking an experienced Quotation Specialist to execute global new business quoting activities based on RFQ checklists and to develop a robust supplier base for quotes. You will train department members to use business systems efficiently and collaborate with Business Unit Management to ensure SCM involvement in new opportunities.

The role requires strong Excel skills, data analysis, and the ability to manage multiple quotes under tight deadlines.

Qualifications

Must lead projects and initiatives.
Ability to mentor on procurement processes.
Advanced PC skills, especially in Excel.
Ability to calculate figures such as discounts and percentages.
Ability to solve practical problems with variable conditions.
Ability to interpret written, oral, or diagram instructions.
Ability to speak effectively before groups.
Ability to work under pressure with changing priorities.

Responsibilities

Support new business and supplier quotation activities.
Develop relationships with Business Unit Management to involve SCM in new opportunities.
Attend quote kick-off meetings.
Drive quotes based on RFQ and deliver by date, optimizing price and RoHS compliance.
Review BOM data and assign correct commodity per component and manufacturer.
Prepare quote packages and solicit quotes from suppliers.
Maintain knowledge of materials and supply base for quality and quantity.
Provide updates and reports on quotation activities.
