Job summary

Jabil Circuit Sdn Bhd is seeking a detail-oriented Procurement Specialist based in Penang to manage materials supply and demand, negotiate prices, and drive cost efficiencies. You will collaborate with SCM teams to align base strategies with customer needs and ensure compliance with terms and security policies.

The role requires 2+ years in purchasing, strong analytical and negotiation skills, and the ability to build supplier partnerships.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years in purchasing or related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong negotiation and communication with suppliers, customers and internal stakeholders.
• Proficient in Windows and related software; strong PC skills.
• Numerical abilities including calculations, percentages, ratios and algebra.
• Willing to relocate and based in Penang.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage supply base strategies aligned to customer and business unit needs.
• Source, quote, and negotiate materials to drive cost reduction and maximise value.
• Build and maintain strong supplier relationships through audits, performance reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Make informed sourcing decisions based on price, quality, freight, flexibility, and overall cost-benefit analysis.
• Collaborate with Materials Planners, Purchasing Managers, and SCM teams to ensure supply meets demand.
• Support and contribute to Jabil's SCM initiatives and strategies.
• Ensure compliance with pricing agreements, terms and conditions, and company security policies.
• Analyse component purchase prices and provide input on customer quotations to maximise MPV.
