Job summary

Wilhelmsen Ship Management in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a finance professional to support monthly cash flow, banking activities, and vessel accounting. The role emphasizes accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to internal controls across multiple vessels.

You will prepare funds requests, post bank entries, perform payroll verifications and vessel balance reconciliations, and assist with monthly reporting. Fresh graduates are welcome; proficiency in MS Excel is essential, with SAP experience

Qualifications

• Degree in accounting and/or finance or equivalent.
• Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
• Proficient in MS Office applications, especially MS Excel.

Responsibilities

• Prepare funds requests to vessel owners and update funds schedule monthly.
• Post bank related entries via FEBA for non-open item payments and perform vessel bank reconciliations.
• Verify payroll entries on a monthly basis and reconciling onboard cash accounts.
• Verify opening balances of onboard cash accounts, provisions and bond stores; ensure receipts exist for cash onboard transactions.
• Prepare and submit monthly reports for vessel owners within deadlines; maintain proper filing for financial statements and budgets.
